I am no blogging expert. I am learning as I’m going. Some things I fuck up, somethings I pick up. Most things I just wing it. Either way here 1 thing I’ve learnt as a book blogger part 28;
We’ve all done it. When I first started all I was focusing on was follower count. I knew a lot of publishers/places that provide ARC won’t send out copies to a blogger who has very few followers. So at the beginning, I was worried that I needed thousands of followers to get noticed. After about 4 months of worrying about it, I just stopped and focused more on the fact that I was following people, not numbers.
It very easy to focus on the numbers and ignore the fact that the numbers are people. It feels that is what our society is becoming, so it sometimes hard for you get out of that mindset.
Very true!

It’s kind of a vicious cycle…like, follow, rate, repeat. For school last year my daughter had to read “the Circle” Eggers, and “Feed” I don’t remember the author. Really eye opening works I’d fiction

You are absolutely right. I wish I had time to read everyone’s blogs that follow me, but there are only so many minutes in the day. I like that people are reading my blog, glad I am not doing it for no reason, but it can’t be the only reason I do it.

Yeah exactly. I am so busy at the moment it is insane so sadly checking other people’s blog is taking a back burner.

Lovely point. We can only do so much, but it’s important to reach out when we can. 🙂
