Review: It was okay/liked it. Leaning more towards it was okay. The story felt like 3 different stories in one. One side was the history around King Arthur and the church, plus loads of dates/names from around that era. The second story was Rhea and all the other important characters. The third story was the political/military side of the war raging under covers around the Middle East. In a chapter, it switched between all three. It felt very information dumpy.

I had no emotional attachment to any of the characters, I had no feelings on anything that happened. I didn’t feel like I really knew anyone, I had no attachments. The King Arthur side felt very built up on whether she would find him or not. I didn’t really care either way.

One of the good things about the book is that you could tell the Author took a great deal of time and pride in doing research into both the Arthur side of thing, as well as the covert relationships/tensions/issues in the Middle East. The inner story just felt lacking.
