Official Summary: “It is summertime in Beresford. Ronaldo and Rudi are beside themselves with excitement: Monty the Moose, the most incredible Magician in the whole world is performing at Rudi’s birthday party!
But before the festivities begin, there’s the important matter of The Reindeer Flyover, an ancient tradition of The Reindeer Flying Academy that marks the end of school term. But Rudi might not be able to fly. He’s injured his hoof and refuses to see Doctor Kloppen. Rudi is terrified of needles and, rumour has it, the Doctor’s needle is the size of a rocket!
Meanwhile, Ronaldo meets celebrity baker, Mrs Sorensson, and offers to deliver her cakes to ‘Carrot’s ‘N’ Cakes’ bakery before flying school. The weather is hot so Ronaldo rushes through the forest so he can deliver the cakes before the icing melts. But trouble is lurking in the woods. Dasher and his menacing brothers, Comet and Prancer, are hiding in the bushes. Waiting for Ronaldo!” – Goodreads

Review: This is the 3rd book in the series, can be read as a standalone. Great, fun and brilliant children’s book. Seriously though, how many things can you make with carrots? I should have really counted the amount of cakes, drinks and food made out of it. Was entertaining to see the Author try and make everything out of carrots. I think the bread pudding was the only thing without carrots.
What I really like about the Author’s books is her hidden lessons throughout the series. The story is great and fun to read, but it still teaches. The lessons aren’t the forerunner in the stories. Which I think helps teach children better. Lessons being taught without them feeling like lessons.
Made me smile some of the scenes, you can’t but help to giggle at some of them.
“Promise me that if anything like that happens again, you’ll tell your parents … or come to me” – One of the best lessons taught in the story, in my opinion. If you are being bullied, tell someone. Anyone.
Would I recommend it? Yes. Author’s books are on point.
Very important message. Enjoyed this review. I seem to have developed a TBR for my children too!
Thank you for your lovely review, it is most appreciated. I am glad that you liked the ‘hidden lessons throughout the series’
It was a pleasure. 🙂
