Review: I liked this more than I thought I would. The romance was there but it wasn’t the forerunner in the story. Not that it felt like it to me, maybe it was the forerunner in the Author’s eye. Either way the paranormal elements were very solidly done and weren’t over the top.

Pre-warning – the sex is pretty detailed. If you don’t like that side, you can just skip them scenes.

Albah have control over one of the four elements; fire, water, earth and air. Also liked how they had to practice/learn to be good. Plus practice to stay good. Albanex are the vampires. I like how the Albanex were explained. It wasn’t let just throw vampires into the mix for the sake of the word. They were logically explained to why they used to be made, for the sake of keeping knowledge alive.

Overall the whole story idea was very good, it was interesting to see the direction the Author took with the elements within the story. It was predictable to a point, there were still some twists there. I found myself thinking of different ways it could have played out in that kind of world. Which makes it a good story, that you can play around with ideas about the world built.

Would I recommend it? Yes.
