Review: Really liked it. The main character was a badass, but she doesn’t really know that. She just doing a job she knows she can do. Which is kill aliens. She not superhuman about it either, being small and agile just has it advances. Plus she not been stupid, she adapted and adjusted herself to the new world. She learned from her enemy, their weak spots and how to survive. Which is what makes her a great survivor. I was quiet surprised how stupid some of the other characters were when it came to the aliens. I suppose in a way it was done to make her look extra good, and to just prove that just because you survived the start of the poop storm, doesn’t mean your a smart person. You just got lucky. Also like how not everyone survives. It adds more grit to the story.

The ‘missions’ bugged me a little, they seemed I don’t know out of place. The first one more, the second kind of made sense. It is like, let a brand new person into the city, here a mission instantly. The second just seemed rushed, maybe could have done with more of a lead up to it. I don’t know really, bit hard to slot them in. To switch the story to more mission/military.

The whole story, not sure where it could end up. It is pretty bleak situation the human race is in. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

Would I recommend it? Yes. It a good read.
