Official Summary: “Ever hear noises when you’re feeling sick and in bed? Pete’s Dad is off of work today because he is sick. He wants to be outside on a nice summer day but is stuck in bed because of a cold. As he is resting, he starts seeing strange things, like a Lion walking to the pool. Hearing strange sounds, like a Monkey trying to open a refrigerator. Could these things be real or does he just need to go to bed?” – Goodreads

(Disclaimer: I requested a copy of the book from the Author. This does not affect my review in anyway. I have also not read any of his other books in the series.)

Review: It was okay. Had some issues. The story is a very solid concept for a children’s book. The first version of the book I received was full of issues. I contact the author who fixed the problem, he hadn’t uploaded the correct version of the book. Doh (Happens to the best of us.) Reading the second version I still came across some little issues, it wasn’t anything major just a space needed here, or a space removing. Random ] and like the Puppy crossed the street twice. Maybe I am being a little harsh but when I come across little issues, it throws me off. You go from enjoying the book to Detective Catch the Mistakes. Once these little mistakes are fixed, it will be a great book, I am just human and can’t move past them at the moment.

Ignoring the mistakes, the story is good and funny. Just the right kind of mixture for a child to enjoy. The story is solid and strangely enough very logical, if you were ever in a situation of being a Monkey, Lion or a Puppy. (Yes, I know that makes no sense. Just go with it)

Would I recommend it? Yes once the mistakes are fixed. Else they will drive you nuts.

(Update – Sent him a message with some issues I found. He fixed them or is fixing them. But still my review above stands. You have to have a very high standard of your work as an any author. Indie or otherwise. Your work is your baby.)
